Jay Neugeboren, author, father, grandfather, husband, Brooklyn nationalist, and tennis champion turns 70!!! His new book is 1940, but he was born in 1938, in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. After 30 years as the Writer-in-Residence at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, he moved back to New York City, where he now lives with his wife Kathleen.
